Hi all and welcome to the Cedrus Technologies blog. My name is Farid and I'll be your host for discussions ranging from technology to politics, family, motorcycles and much more.

I'm the owner of Cedrus Technologies, a software consulting firm located in beautiful, woodsy eastern Connecticut. I've been a developer for about 15 years starting with C, xBase and then moving to Visual Basic. I'm currently working strictly with Microsoft .NET (VB/C#) and SQL Server and can't think of going back to the VB6 days.

I hope you will enjoy the posts and comments made on this blog and I look forward to your participation.

Disclaimer:  I generally communicate in a no-holds barred type of fashion. I do use "colorful" language in my day-to-day and won't really change my style here. However, I will maintain a minor restriction on certain terms and content only to keep some semblance of respect for myself, my family, my corporation, and some part of the general public should they happen to land on my pad. Considering my feelings on the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, I can say that the past couple of statements are hypocritical but such is the way of life. You can't always please yourself or others. At least my censorship is self-imposed. Some may find the language and opinions disagreeable, and sometimes downright rude and offensive, even after such censorship.
